Fall 2018 Meeting Minutes

“In January
it’s so nice
while slipping
on the sliding ice
to sip hot chicken soup with rice.
Sipping once
Sipping twice”
― Maurice Sendak

The frigid temperatures have finally led me to my desk with a hot bowl of soup to reflect on what we have accomplished this Fall.  Let’s take a look…

The new PTO Board hosted their first meeting on September 17th.  Many thanks to Sage Peake, Elisa Springer, Heather Tielens, Julie Johnson, Rosie Rice, Rebecca VonBergen, Bonnie White, Amy Foster, and Helen Arco for attending.  The focus was on the grade level budget allocations, the ice cream social, and zombie night.  To read the full minutes, click HERE!

Our second meeting was on October 16th.  Thank you to Alice Heise, Rebecca VonBergen, Bonnie Leftkowitz-White, and Amy Foster for attending.  The focus was on the debrief of the ice cream social and the zombie night event as well as reviewing submitted grade level proposals.  Alice Heise, our PTO Arts and Beautification lead, discussed the current mosaic project and ideas for the future.  To read the full minutes, click HERE!

Our third Fall meeting was on November 13th.  Thanks so much to Megan Conaway, Jamie McCaffery, Rosie RiceAlice Heise, Rebecca VonBergen, Bonnie Leftkowitz-White, Amy Foster and Helen Arco for attending. We took a look at the budget as well as discussed creating some special Secret Santa bags for students, partnering with the Elementary School PTO for the “Giving the Gift of Tburg” promotion, and selling necklaces during Winterfest.  We were lucky to have our new Principal, Megan Conaway, join us and answer some questions.  To read the full minutes, click HERE!

We look forward to the new year and hope you can join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, February 5th at 6:30pm in the MS Library.  For a peek at the agenda, click HERE.
