We need a lot of people to help with Zombie Night!! Volunteer to help. Thank you!
Looking to kick off your St. Patrick’s Day? Come to our PTO meeting on Thursday March 17th in the Middle School library at 3:30 p.m. We’ll enjoy some green snacks and drinks and talk about a lot of items that are really important to help support Trumansburg Middle School students and their teachers. All are welcome! Bring a friend.
See the event page on Facebook and let us know you are coming.
A final big thank you to all those who made our Zombie night a huge success! This event wouldn’t happen without help from all our wonderful volunteers who donated popcorn, bagged and sold popcorn, sold tickets for the movie and stayed to clean up after the movie ended. We especially want to thank our Zombie volunteers (adults and students) who really get into the spirit of Halloween and make this trail truly memorable. And thanks to our trail volunteers who sell tickets and roam the woods keeping this event fun and safe. A BIG thank you to The Zombie Wrangler, Torie Lines, for all the work that goes into organizing this event. View photos from the night! (they are the first 7 photos in the timeline photos).
We made $160 from the movie, $180 on snack sales and $461 from the Zombie Trail itself. These funds will go toward supporting our kids and their teachers at Trumansburg Middle School.
Join us for our annual Zombie Night!
All middle school kids without a parent in attendance will need a signed permission slip. We’ll be sending them home next week, but if you would like to print it out and send in to school, you may print out the permission slip below. Elementary students are welcome to attend with an adult.
As you may know, the 8th grade class offers parking for Grassroots at Shur Save every year. This is organized by the 8th grade DC trip school coordinators with involvement from the school administration. This year, with construction complete on the school campus, the PTO has teamed up with the Trumansburg Sports Boosters to offer an additional Grassroots Parking opportunity. This is a separate venture from the 8th grade parking group and all proceeds will be split 50/50 between the Sports Boosters and the Middle School PTO. We are very excited to offer both of these opportunities! As any Tburg resident knows, there is a great need for parking for Grassroots. Both organizations stand to benefit financially while providing a much needed service.
Grassroots will give each person who works TWO 4 hour shifts a free day pass to the festival. In order to receive this pass, you must sign up by Wednesday July 15th. We need your help to make this a successful fundraiser. Please consider volunteering your time to park cars for one or more shifts.
You don’t have to be a middle school parent to work the parking. We welcome and encourage any community member to help out with this. You may be doing it to get the free pass, to support the PTO, just because you want to help out and like to talk to people or all of these reasons and more! Please consider helping us make these fundraisers successful.
Please sign up to volunteer for the PTO/Sports Boosters parking.
Please sign up to volunteer for the Grade 8 Washington DC parking.
